CB350F carbs GUSHING fuel all over the place.
« on: July 21, 2005, 08:57:40 AM »
So, i finally found all the OEM parts to reinstall the air filter on my bike! SWEET! Get everything together.  turn on the petcock, and BAM! Fuel coming from everydamnwhere. There was too much to identify exactly where it was coming from.

So i cleaned it up and quit for the day.

Here are my theories:

1) the fuel intake is NOT that large valve that pivots inbetween 2 and 3 (my clymers was at home)

2) some or all of the carbs are stuck open.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

stuck floater. The fuel is probably leaking from your overflow or out of the float bowl bodies.

incorrectly installed float bowl gaskets. have you recently messed with the floats?

I assume your fuel is gushing from the carb area, not the tank or air filter.

THANKS! I haven't messed with the floats ever. I guess it's time.

I'll update this weekend.

Before you take everything apart try gentlly tapping each carb. with a piece of wood ( hammer handle)  It might just loosen up a stuck float needle.
