headlight ear options for a '71cb750k1?
« on: October 29, 2007, 08:03:10 AM »
hello, I have been searching for awhile for some info I came across awhile back that said what headlight ears were compatible with my setup. I found a good set off a '80+ dohc 750 that are in good shape but have HUGE turn signal lamps on them that are an eyesore. Can I get some cb500 or cb550 headlight ears that will work?

Don't know about 500/550 ears.  Look in tricks and tips section under cafe headlight ears.  There should be some links for you.  You can get a variety of aftermarket headlight ears that will do what you want and look nice and clean.

Got the ears on my CB450 from MikesXS.net for around $50 --->
Def. better than the cheap-o ones you see allot on these bikes...

thanks for the replies, I have seen the aftermarket ones, and actually have a pair of the cheap chrome emgo ones. My tubes are not pretty enough to mount the aftermarket ones however so I would like to put the oem style back. so does anyone have any insite as to which ones will work? I know that 400-750 have the same diameter tubes but what I dont know is the distance between top clamp and bottom clamp. Anyone?

Pretty much all of the CB bikes ran 35mm fork tubes.
As long as whatever u buy fits 35mm tubes you are gold..
