Another one down...
« on: October 30, 2007, 07:16:48 AM »
Not the bike, me...
I just got back from my honeymoon after getting married on the 20th.  Perfect weather, no friends/family getting too drunk and taking off clothes, what more can you ask for.
Maybe in a few years I'll change my toon but right now being hitched feels great!

Ah the honeymoon phase...I remember it well! I truly hope you are as happy in 9 years as I am! That initial feeling will wear off but if you're lucky you will be left with something much better and stronger. Congrats on the marriage!!

Thanks for the replys everyone.  I knew she was the one when we first talked.  She LOVES to ride, but has absolutely no interest in learning to be at the controls (on the bike at least) and wasn't the least bit upset when I brought up the idea of us buying the new bike this summer.  I'm just hoping I get as many happy years as many of you.

Don't worry Ernie.  I wasn't talking about how I feel, just showing a little acknowledgement of my relative naiviete in this area compared to many others that have found the institution rather restrictive at best.

As for being invited, I'll make sure Rocking and Rush are invited for the first time she hangs my boys out to dry due to some percieved (and probably real) indiscretion.  I can't figure out why you'd want to see it but to each their own ;D

Think of it as misery liking company!!!  ;)

Actually it is funny how when guys get together (or online or whatever) we like to complain about the Missus...Almost like it is expected. Nice to see the odd curve ball of a guy declaring his happiness with his partner.

Except for the tie and I hat (I wear bow ties) that could be me and Kathleen up there.  She won't get on back, but she'll ride on the side.

"Toon" is a contraction of cartoon.  I was assuming you meant "tune", but maybe you ARE in a cartoon?  Could be fun actually...
Do you wear baggy yellow shorts and white gloves?

Double congrats C-Ville. She likes to ride is a great find now a days.
The missus liked to ride when we first got married, in fact we dated on motorcycles since that's
all I owned. But now, after 30 years of married life, I find I'm trying to coax her into getting on the back
of the bike. She doesn't like the fact there is no back rest, and I really don't want one on there :-X

Uncle Ernie is sharp.  I didn't realize you caught the play on words at first.  I'm tiny, I'm toony, we're all a little loony.  Right now my life is a true caricature of what I've wanted with everything exaggerated in just the right way to bring a smile to your face.  Absolutely loving it right now.  And here's just one more topper.  I finally sold my CR-V and put the deposit down on the new Tacoma we've been looking for.  They should have it in within a few days and we can make sure it's the one we want.
Kids are in the plan within the year but we want to take a few months to enjoy the newlywed thing.  Glasses up boys.
