Carb bowl gasket cement

Does anyone know the best glue or gasket cement to use on the float bowl gasket. Nothing I have used over the years was as good as came stock. Everything I have tried either expands after a few months or softens and allows the gasket to slip or pull away when removing the bowl. Anyone found something as good as Honda's?

Man, I've never used any cement on those gaskets and would be concerned about contaminating fuel  and clogging jets with the adhesive. I've always thought that friction was the reason that some gaskets stayed on the carb body when the bowl was removed. I'd be interested to know if folks are using adhesives with these gaskets.

for the O-ring gaskets, I use automotive weatherstrip adhesive. I don't think gas dissolves it, may be wrong though. I have to use lacquer thinner plus acetone and some elbow grease to get the Honda stuff out. I don't know what it is either.
