Video: Ride to the top of Loveland Pass, Colorado
« on: October 31, 2007, 06:57:23 PM »
Not me, (I wish) but over on motorcycle.com someone posted this nice video of a trip to the top of Loveland pass.

http://www.farson.com/video/k12sloveland.wmv

Grew up in Colorado, couldn't wait to get out (Alamosa-  if you know, you understand).  Now I just want to haul the 750 back for a ride in those mountains.

Maybe I'll try to substitute with Skyline Drive this weekend...

Sigh

Alamosa, yeah I understand. No glamour.

Nice bike but you'll notice he mostly kept his eyes on the road. Bet he's not a Colorado guy.

We gotta get the guys together to do an Independence Pass ride into Aspen. Will be much nicer. Haul her in and lets ride!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Isn't there a 30 limit down the Skyline Drive (or is that the point...  ::) )

Skyline (Blue Ridge Parkway) has a posted 45mph limit.
But has fewer and fewer park rangers to enforce the limit. ;D

I was there in about 1985: I'm sure it was 30mph then. The first few miles were fun with the views etc. The excitement tailed off thereafter.

Avis rental Camaro in light blue - I thought I was the BUSINESS!

I now know better of course...

Yeah, it's pretty much the closest thing around here that even resembles a mountain road, even if the limit is "45".  That and the area around Camp David.  Some interesting riding around the park though, and a couple of good vintage/antique stores.

I've got final exams this week so I may just need the ride to clear the old head.

What a average video. I thought this is a motorcycle video, lets hear pipes.
Nothing better than listening to a nice set of pipes. Right Elizabeth :) on her ex500 or Heffays 350.
Sounded like this guy was trying to get his lady in bed with the music :)
I'm going to try and hook up my Hi8 on the rides this summer.
