Moto Guzzi is starting to look as good as the motor is. However, with the resent frame questions,
it appears to have an AL frame.

That bike looks even better in person! The dealer i had my interceptor serviced at is a Hyosung/Moto Guzzi/Aprillia dealer. I have looked the griso over a few times wishing i had the funds to own one..but im looking forward to 08 when they get one of the new aprillia Shiver...

I'm probably the only one here to say it, but I think the exhaust is ugly and the motor looks like it sets to high. I don't know how it is to ride cause I've never ridden one. Are they top heavy?
I do like the tank/seat setup tho. Looks like the rear fender needs to be cut off too.

I've always preferred the looks of the older Guzzis.  To me, they just have "something" that's right.

Big writeup in (I think) Classic Bike this month, or was it Motorcycle Classics.  The U.K. one.  I loaned my copy to a classmate that has a California and it's never come back to me.

Hey All,
Was at my local thursay night out for the Denver Rusted Nuts. Just have to own a bike 20 years or older.

Here is what showed up.

That Moto Guzzi is waaaay cool.
There's something about that transverse V Twin that seems right. Call it "symetricity"?

Dittoes.
I had a 82 GL500 for a season. Silky smooth engine. Dependable water-cooled ride.

Do taller riders bump their knees or shins on those transverse mounted twin engines?

The crash guards kept my knees away, but you could feel the heat coming off those puppies.

That's a great old Guzzi.

There's this great vintage store in Harrisburg, PA called atomic warehouse.

They've got this BMW there which the owner was willing to come way down on his price for.

But I really, really wanted this one.

Oh well.  If only I had a larger budget for such things.  Went across the street to the brewpub for a beer instead.

Very cool. I've got an 82 Interstate---full boat. It's in such good condition I'd be a fool to ever strip it down but I hope someday to find a project wing to naked-ize.

There is something that just seems so right about the Guzzi engines. Especially when riding one and looking down on those heads. I picked up a 77 LeMans 850 this summer for 2k. Got another 300 in brake work and 200 in timing chain and tensioner etc. She's real solid though and a very good runner. Truly a joy to ride although quite a bit different than the cb. I love it though.
