Ethyl???????? ;)
Ethyl was a another word for "High Test" or Preimum. The term fell out of use before my time. it was used in the 1930's - 40s.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

What`s so ironic is that this day and age with the computer , you have the unlimited resources at your fingertips to be able to repair just about anything.

It goes both ways, guys.  I have spent a good portion of my adult life learning what I wasn't taught as a kid. I suppose my folks figured that if I didn't pick it up the first try they would yell direction at me, and give up or worse by the the third attempt.

P.s I'm not whining, just saying.

I'm going to quit complaining now about the wasteful idiot college kids.  They moved out and left a really nice Titleist bag, Callaway drivers and TaylorMade irons for the trashman -er I mean me.  I guess there wasn't a caddy to carry them and they couldn't figure it out.

I was pretty worried about my son as he grew up. He even took an auto course in High School. He couldn't change a tire, check the oil or clean a car. He couldn't drive a nail, use a saw or manipulate a wrench. His attitude was "whatever"! He got married a year ago at the age of 23 and bought a house. He has completely renovated it including framing, drywalling, plumbing, electrical, cupboards, hardwood flooring, new deck, brick patio and waterfall. The colors are not what I would pick but he did a quality job that is amazing. Don't give up hope - they come around.
Time is short!

I know that one Mennedy ;)

MrsD always thought her son (my stepson) would grow up a useless layabout ::)

He's at the point now where he's regretting proving her wrong though  He's in the third year of his joinery apprenticeship, and he hardly ever gets a weekend to himself. She's that pleased with his abilities that she's had him replace every door, and casing, in our house ::)

Saved me the bother ;D

Feeling old is when a sweet young thing holds the door open for you and calls you honey.  :'(

I can remember a time when our Vintage Japanese bikes weren't even made.
Reminds of a friend's story. His son used to beg him not to play the big black CDs.

Riding in my truck the other day I needed to call my wife... So I get my phone out of my pocket, and as I'm about to start calling her my son asks:

"Who ya gonna call?"

I respond without hesitation:

"GHOSTBUSTERS!"

To which he says:

"Who?!?"

I almost cried. It's my fault really. This weekend I think we are going to watch some classics.

Stuff like that is happening more and more often. That is why you are seeing so many remakes today.
