I surpose it depends on how much you want to spend Rob, also how much you want it to look like a Daytona replica.
Ther are a lot of nice ones about but for pretty damn close, I think the one that Vick World built took some beating.

I have to agree - with a full 970 parts list on it, Vic's bike is as good as it gets....but why on earth did he paint it blue!? :D

Hi there,

Back from France after visiting the Classic Bol d'or on the circuit of Magny Cours. Saw some very interesting bikes, and not only our SOHC's. One of the nicest was "Lucifers Hammer" from HD.
Here some of the SOHC's.

Hi Sam, This is a 970cc block with 70m/m bore. Japauto made this due to oiling problems with the original bored out block. Think it looks aggresive. Hope to find one some day although that chance is very small. Pistons are made available by the VX1000 Club de France but at a cost, nearly 1000 Euro's!!

Vox, I know where there's a JapAuto cylinder that could concievably be used as a base model, but I've checked and the cost making a pattern that will allow for casting shrinkage is huge!  I even thought about milling but haven't pursued that line yet...  They do look great, though. Don't they!  RR

Sam, aren't the tickler CR31's also stamped CR900 and fitted with Kawasaki spacing?  I sold a set of early non-magnesium CR750 ticklers lately and that was my understanding.  RR

I'm really not, Sam. Thanks anyway. I have no use for tickler carbs without chokes.  If I were building an authentic CR750 I'd have held on to my carbs, but my interests are in producing (and reproducing) vintage street specials: Rickmans, Read-Titans, JapAuto VX1000's, etc. I bought a vintage CB750 kneeler recently because I noticed the CR750's in the photos.

I've turned the carbs and repaid my investment, so now I have four AP Racing calipers, three Lockeed rotors, and a total-loss motor that is in all probability a fully built Russ Collins lump of currently undetermined displacement. Nice things about the sidehacks... those 10 inch slicks will handle a lot of power!  I'm going to enjoy investigating this engine when I find the time! RR

I only wish I had one. What I have is a 1080 sleeved and bored stock block. 
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
