would suggest otherwise. Look again, the front page of Cycle shows 2 bolt fork legs. The bike in background is the Factory works RC750 .

Here is a REAL RC750 Works Honda at Motegi Museum in Japan. They (Honda) claim it is the Dick Mann Machine....

I am only going to explain the 4 bolt fork thing one more time. The (center part # 970) kits produced in 1970-1971...did not have fork legs with 4 bolt lowers. Look at cover on Cycle magazine Oct 1970 at the parts lay-ed out, not the bike in background as that is not an CR750 but the works RC750 Factory bike.

When Honda came back to Daytona in 1973 with Steve M, Sumiya and Roger Riemen as riders, they also introduced KIT fork assemblies with 4 bolt lower legs and had the center part number of "971". They also intruded the smaller alternator assemble with a smaller cover with new center part number of "971"

But, for you that are unaware...these 971 kit forks were not the same as the 4 bolt lowers used on RC750 Mann factory bikes.

I have all documentation and pictures along with having ownership of of one of these fork assemblies.

The middle picture was taken before the other two.
When the team from the UK went to the first tech inspection in their all black leathers, the tech guy wouldn't let them on track in case they had a fall and couldn't be seen on the black track.

Tommy in the middle picture soon had brush and paint out and painted the stripes down the arms of the leathers, like his father, Tommy was quite an acomplished sign writer.

I self have a CR750 with some genuine parts but also some replica parts. The most parts are genuine CR750 parts and if I can find original parts which I can pay I change these.

Perhaps the bike will be ready in some years...

Museum presentation standard is definitely superior to race day preparation. I've seen pictures of the sixes in the day, when they looked fairly tatty. A standard trick at the time was apparently the liberal use of araldite to stop oil leaks. Whatever it takes to finish first, but first you got to finish.

The bike in museum is a brand new one that Honda Motegi made. It is not the real Dick Mann bike.

The museum have other bikes in there that are not what they claim.
They have a bike that I have but 3 of my friends that have been there have all told me that it is clear to see that the engine and frame numbers have been doctored.
