Dawson City (actually the road signs says "Welcome to the Town of Dawson City", the population has gone way down since the gold rush) is in CANADA, not Alaska, USA.
The drink is called a Sour Toe cocktail, and you get them at the Sourdough Saloon. It's usually brandy, but you can actually have any booze you want. If you volunteer to drink a shot with a toe in it, they really don't mind whether it's whisky or gin. You still get the certificate. If I can find mine I'll scan it and post it.
