New Guy Introducing Himself
« on: November 08, 2007, 01:23:01 PM »
Hey guys and gals, My name is Chris and im 23 years old. I've been lurking around on here for a little while just reading and learning as much as I can. I figured I should finally introduce myself cause im gonna be on here quite a bit more. I just picked up my first bike. It's a 76 CB750F Super Sport that I scored for 160 bucks (early Christmas present from g/f). The bike belonged to the previous owners father. He purchased it new and left it to him. The gentlemen I bought it from needed the cash so he was willing to part with it. He even gave me two pictures of the bike that were taken back in 78. It has definitely seen better days. The bike has upwards of 88k on it and has been sitting for quite some time. Let me know what you guys think.

Here are some pictures of it back in 78.

Here are some pictures of the bike as of now.

Thanks guys. Believe it or not I already have the bike down to the frame and the drive train. I'll try to upload some pictures tomorrow.

Another F rescuer. Yes!

From the looks of the previous owners dad and his riding style (been there done that) PLUS the chrome valve cover I'd say the engine might have some surprises in store for you. My theory is why take the engine out of the frame if you're not going to do something better to it. What gauge is that with the tach/speedo?

Enjoy your project. There's plenty of us F owners on here plus the lowly K guys that can help.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
