kz1000R
« on: November 06, 2007, 10:44:01 AM »
As I drove by the local motorcycle mechanic/junkyard I happened to notice this bright green cafe looking bike in their front window.  I just had to take a closer look, so I pulled in and saw one of these in their little showroom.

I couldn't take an actual picture of it, but it looks pretty sweet.  Not really knowing what it was, I went home and looked it up and found out they only made 750 of em.  I had the passing thought of looking into purchasing it, but apparently they go for decent money.

Ah well it would only steal attention/money from the cb750.

I went and snapped a picture of it today, only had the camera phone but it should do. The thing is beautiful in person though.

Talked to the owner and he said it's not for sale, was real sentimental about it too.  Says it pushes about 130 hp and he takes it to the track about once a year.

It's been modified for sure. Different front calipers/rotors, damper, carbs, rear shocks(Koni's) Moriwaki ignition cover are the obvious pieces. Nice

The guy said it's gone down on both sides before while at the track, so who knows what kind of damage, repairs have been done to it.
