This is a memorial tattoo for my younger brother. BMX was his passion. The design is based on a logo used by 'DIG BMX'. The work was done by Brian Mullen from Art Freek in Providence RI. Great guy, great friend,  great work. I will be going back in the spring for some script.

Just have small final touch up to do. The colors are kinda washed out by the cell phone pics.

That half-sleeve is really cool, 1055.

You may have inspired me to go further with what I got - to maybe see if I can draw up something creative on my own.  Actually, I guess I already have with what's on my chest.  But you may have inspired me to do more with my arm.

I just had some rework done yesterday - got some lettering redone on my chest, and a shoulder tattoo that's been a lot of trouble over the years (seems to keep fading - hopefully this one sticks).  This is the 4th time the shoulder's been worked on.   :-\

I'll try to get pictures when things heal.

I do, however, wish I would have not gotten any when I was young (my first two - I was 15 and 17 years old).  I would still have tattoos now, but they would be different.  Specifically the one that's kind of just in the way is a dragon on my upper right back.  I would like to have something else on my back, but whatever I get now I have to worry about it going with the dragon.  I actually wouldn't even mind the dragon if it was in the center, but the way it is makes it a little difficult to work around.  The dragon has color, and another thing I would change is I would stay with black only if I could do over.  Oh well, it's a nice dragon I suppose.  Maybe I'll just keep it as the only thing on my back.

I've heard that's the case with a lot of people.

if your body rejects the blue, try not to add to it... > Bad news   They used to have a pic up from the surgery where they showed the blue lymph node. That was damn cool.  Too bad they took it [the pic] out. :(

They teach about tattooing over lumps, moles and tissue with scars already.
Also, People that are allergic to penicillin, should avoid reds, violets and some bright pinks and oranges. Be thankful though, at least red no longer contains mercury!
I have purples that disappear on my half sleeve due to UV rays. Purple, red, and especially orange will "disappear" with over-exposure. I use a ton of sun screen, and it helps, but I'm so fair, I get burned right over the top of a tattoo. the Ink itself resides several layers down, so you look THROUGH to skin to see the actual color. My pink elephant turns bright red when my arm tans. This is why darker colored skin doesn't show color well but for maybe 2 weeks, until the upper layers heal themselves.
I'm curious about your skin color 1055. Pasty? Olive? or darker? also, do you work an outside job or spend extensive amounts of time on water during the summer, or just partying outside?
