Shortcut to adjusting carb needles?
« on: November 21, 2007, 05:28:49 PM »
At the risk of embarassing myself I thought I'd throw out the question to  see if any of you adjust the needles with the carbs still mounted up. I think I would experiment and fine tune more if it wasn't such a chore to pull and replace the whole works every time I wanted to try something different.

You can adjust slide needles with the carbs on the bike if you have a CB500/550.  Still have to vacuum sync them afterward.

You didn't say which bike you were working on.

Get good at pulling them off and putting them on. More practice less hassle.

Same as mine!
Spray some silicone around the boots and carb noses. About the 3rd time in and out, it's lots easier.  ::)
