New from PA
« on: November 13, 2007, 06:23:03 PM »
Hello all!

in Oct. 2006 I bought an '06 Honda Shadow Spirit 750.... I have enjoyed riding it, but enjoyed modifying it even more.
So after some internet research I decided the ideal second bike for me would be a CB750 cafe racer.

I bought a 1976 CB750 Supersport which has 23K miles, has been stored out doors for at least a couple of years and has been vandalized (tank, headlight, gauges, signal lights, pounded in with a hammer). Long story short I can do no harm with this one...

This winter, the focus is taking off all the dented/broken parts and rebuilding the engine. Starting with the Clymer book and going from there....

Looking forward to learning a lot here....and enjoying it.

Welcome. Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Be sure and take before and after pics. You'll get a great deal of satisfaction from them.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Welcome indeed.  Before you rely on that Clymer too much, poke around the forum.  You'll find that the aftermarket manuals aren't to be trusted.  And there's a real good chance you can download the Honda one for your bike here.

Thanks for the Welcome guys!

I live in Northeastern PA near Wilkes-Barre. A great area for twisty desolate mountain roads.

I have lived in Virginia Beach, VA. Rochester, Syracuse and Catskill, NY. Burlington, VT. Manchester and London, England and Kilsyth, Scotland.

My Parents were from Manchester, England. Dad was a contract Engineer.... lots of relocating as a kid.

Welcome from the Northwestern part of PA where we have cold winters and lots of potholes.  :D
