Topic: changine exhaust mounts.... doable?

I looked for it (and if anyone knows where it is on here please point me!) and I couldn't find the answer. I was wondering if it's possible to change the mounts on the early 750 (1973) to take studs for the later muffler mounting. A buddy from here has a 4-2 for a 77-78 that I would like to mount on my 73. Can it be done?

Yes,
It can be done.
The 73 head has the exhaust stubs which are held in by 8mm countersunk screws. Remove these screws and replace them with the 8mm studs.
You will also need the later exhaust split collars ( and the later exhaust flanges(4).
You will probably have to fabricate a bracket for the rear of the muffler as the rear supports differ slightly.
