Sorry but I just have to ask

Was "knee deep in another 400 rebuild" an intentional pun or just an accident?

As said before I dont have much 400 stuff but i do have contacts so ask if you need anythig

i just posted an ad in the classified section, looking for a frame for billy's 400. it's hard to tell just how bent the frame is in the picture, but you can really tell if you notice the vin tag being visible on the right side. the curve in the weld along the top of the spine is not due to the camera angle..

anyway, here's the link:

yes, they are. if you're thinking about that frame out in the bay, it's been sawed through in two places. someone wanted to make a chopper at some point.  ::)

get better get better get better.  With any luck, that little bike (not to mention you as well) will be rock'n in no time.  You're gonna have to get on your feet soon, other wise all your friends will be riding around on it.  Speedy recovery and best wishes.

Bill,

Glad you made it through. So many don't. Takes me back to my accident 5 years ago on my birthday. I got beat up and broken up. After a few "procedures" I'm doing pretty well and so will you. Keep the spirit up. At this point that's what matters the most. And, just wait for the attorney's phone call.  ;) IMO it all boils down to who's lane this guy was in! Have your attorney find out what this guys liability limits are. Thats the ticket!

What type of damage did you have to the knee? Been there also 3 times. Just had mine scoped 2 weeks ago. Riding is a lot easier on the knees that walking or running!  ;D

he can't even put weight on his left leg yet, but he was sitting on my 450 the other day trying to figure out if he could shift so he could ride it around the block.  ::)

Bill,

Hope your back up riding soon.  After 3 near misses of my own I hate to hear when someone ends up in the side of a car.  Best of luck  on the rebuild and PT.

I just noticed this thread, Billy I am so glad you are on the rebound and hope your recovery continues in a forward direction.  Paul when you wrote that Billy was sitting on your 450 testing out his shifting reminded me of when I was 11 with a cast on my right lower leg, I was riding my bicycle when my foot slipped off the pedal on the down stroke, the pedal came around and caught me behind the knee
while my bare toes and the bottom of my cast ground into the asphalt.  Ahh the sweetness of rat trap pedals and a coaster brake.
I farted and made my son cry.
