Agree whole heartily about setting an example. In that way, not only are we helping those who we come across, we're setting things up so that others will be helped in the future. ;) Coincidental that we're discussing this. Just a couple of hours ago, my daughter and I were up in Ft. Smith and she spotted a flat tire on the suv in front of us. Sad to say that I really hadn't even noticed. ::) She asked me if I thought they knew it and I told her we'd find out. I followed them into a grocery store parking lot and got out and went up to the drivers side and said,"Sir" and he said (as if I should have known he knew) I know, I've got a flat! I just got back in my vehicle and we left. My daughter commented about the way that guy responded and I told her that, even though he didn't seem to appreciate me telling him, I'd still do it again because most folks would appreciate it. Plus, I know I'd appreciate it myself! ;)

                                 Later on, Bill :) ;)

In alot of situations, like the flat you mentioned Bill, when someone is undergoing stress and in the moment, being grateful is down on list compared to getting through it.

I get jaded about helping and not getting a thanks too, but you almost have to know later, once they're out of the situation, they'll rethink it and they'll appreciate what someone did.

Has anybody said "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" yet?

Yeah, don't worry about it Sean, I did a similar thing 20 years ago, saw a woman driving on a flat tire, rode up beside her and motioned for her to wind down here window.

She screeched at me, (through her closed window) "WHAT DO YOU WANT????!!!!" So I just said, "Oh nothing" and rode away. Up until then I was happy to change her tire, too......................  ;D
Terry, the universal sign for rolling down a window is not pulling your fly up and down whilst (love that word) wagging you tongue back and forth. ;D

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

That's right!  You have to add the humping your bike motion to properly execute that sign.  ;)

Yeah, I said that over on page 1 of this. Just seemed appropriate. ;) Sorry I beat you to it.
