Yes you read it right- there is a possibility of vendor (APE) producing heavy duty cyl head studs for the 500/550 engines. Unless I'm mistaken, there is no alternative to standard replacement studs for these models, untill now!
The deal is we need to get together and front the money before production can begin. This is standard procedure for any low volume custom run like this. There will be 25 sets produced, the total cost is approx $2000. If 25 of us 500/550 owners (are there that many out there??) get in on this, that makes each set approx $80 plus shipping. The fewer buyers, the more each set will cost.....
20 buyers- $100/set
15 buyers- $133/set
10 buyers- $200/set
So if you would like to have a nice set of cyl studs for your 500/550, send me a PM with your name and email address and I'll start a list. If I can get enough people to show intrest, then we'll be able to hammer out the final price per set. Remember- the more people we have, the better the price per set!
