78 cb550 rockers
« on: January 18, 2022, 05:29:25 PM »
Hey guys,

I took apart my cylinder head cover after much research on here and cleaned it up.  Putting it back together now and noticed I have (4) rockers marked 42, (3) marked 43, and (1) marked 41.  I had read they were all the same so I just tore it apart, any ideas about this? Appreciate any info,

Ty

They are cast parts.  And they make several casting molds, each engraved with a number, so that when they wear or have a problem, they know which mold or cavity has the problem that needs repair.
