I'm not sure that I've ever heard my tires, what with the wind noise, the exhaust noise, the tappet noise, and the noise from the big ass tires on the SUV that wants to merge on top of me... (ok, that last one is just 'cause that situation has happened several times this week).

I've  been to Colorado about 4 or 5 times in the past 10 years; it is a beautiful place.  I favor the Durango/Silverton/Ouray area myself and mightt well end up there one day.
