Don't forget some new exhaust gaskets - you don't need them every time you remove the exhausts, but after 30 years, a new set may be in order!

My 550K3 exhausts get too hot to touch - my daughter melted her trainers on them!

Note to self.  Must get Dear Daughter some proper biker boots (that suit a 15 year old ???)

This subject has probably been beat to death, but I will post at the risk of flames. When I went 4-into-1 I heard this strange sound for a few days. D'oh -- center stand into the chain.

I drove over to my brother-in-law's house (he makes his living as a mechanic) and had him take a look. Ten minutes later he had welded a small piece of round stock to the center stand so the stock would rest against the frame and the center stand would stay out of harm's way.
