Here's a ton of pics of my new paint job, courtesy of the inmates at Dixon Correctional Institute, Louisiana.  To all those who have seen the pics, I'm sorry for the re-post.  One of the good folks here on the forum thought I should make a new post, so it has been done.  It will take a while to load because it's a lot of pics.  Orange = Jasper....  Gold & white = Cassandra...

Paid $300 in materials.  Got the labor free.  2 tanks, 4 side covers, 1 helmet:

(you might note that the tank is the exact color of my truck... but the tank was shot with pearl, so it is more metallic than my truck.)  Didn't get pics of the side covers yet because they have the little holes for the decals.  I am not sure if I am going to put the 550 decals back on my K.  The F cafe will definitely NOT get 550 decals:

Hey, I'm glad I decided not to go with MAACO!!!!  :) :) :)

Very nice, Im more partial to the orange. Gotta love the correctional labor.... 8)

Sweet!  Both look great.  I am a sucker for the stock Flake Sunrise Orange.  I'm glad to see it is still around.

I really wish you could see the metallics in the pearl and gold.  The pics just don't do these paint jobs justice.

The more I look at Cassandra, the more impressed I am at the impact of that paint job.  The red & white area really sets it off.  It looks like a much newer, much larger bike.

why? here's your answer:

I think you should start a new thread or rename this one so that people will know that it is Cassandra we are talking about.  I saw the "$150 paint job????" title, and just assumed it was another crappy rattle can job (like mine), so I didn't bother to look.  I'm glad I stumbled on it.

Can't help much with the avatar, unless you want a nice shot of an orange sidecover...

Both paint jobs look great! Enjoy.

How about some custom decals for Jasper?

Happy trails.

You will see the the white and black checker board stripes soon enough.  I have to decide exactly where I want to put them.  You are quite the eager beaver.

It's just me but, while I really like the look that you are going for (and the bikes really look great! 8)), I'd be for keeping your avatar as is for the memory of Cassandra's beginning. ;) Memories mean a lot to me though and it's just my opinion. Either way, Cassandra's Looking Good! 8) :)

                                       Later on, Bill :) ;)

BTW, I am another one who thinks reposting the way you did, was the right thing to do! ;)
