Yeah mate, you're dead right, all Republican "I'm allright Jack, so fuuck you" bullshiite aside, noone can convince me that there's something wrong with taxpayer funded free basic healthcare, in taxpayer funded hospitals.
I was horrified to see that Uncle Ernie is getting a 900 bucks a month disability pension, then giving it (and more) back to pay for medicine? What a ridiculous situation! By contrast, here in Oz, anyone who has a disability is entitled to free (taxpayer funded) medicine.
My niece, who died from Cystic Fibrosis at age 18, was on a huge quantities of drugs all her life, she ate pills like other kids eat candy, and as miserable as her situation was, at least her mother (her father took off when she was only little) didn't have to struggle to get her the treatment that she needed, and she spent most of her time in the Royal Childrens Hospital here in Melbourne, once again, a taxpayer funded hospital, but one of the best in the world.
I don't want anybody here thinking that I'm taking a cheap shot at the US, I'm just saying that for a country so wealthy, it's hard to understand why there's so much opposition to taxpayers money being used to look after the health of American people? It's a funny world, for sure!
