Do you have a link for the e-bay listing?

I don't think that they have any listed at the moment. Best to give them a call or email them as they are very knowledgeable and friendly.
Unfortunately for you, the exchange rate is a bit of a pisser at the moment! (but my eBay.com transactions are brilliant!)

The 500 kit will work just fine for the 550, in fact you can use it without the sleeves that some with the kit. The 550 already had in increased bore, and hence the sleeves can take the larger pistons.
I haven't seen the 605 kit on e-bay for some time now, although the company that was selling them is still selling the 555 kit, listed here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-CB500-Four-BIG-BORE-555cc-Performance-Rebuild-Kit_W0QQitemZ220177960069QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220177960069
You could contact them and see if they have any of the 605 kits left, but as the kits are no longer made I suspect they may have run out...

I suppose the first question that should be asked is........should I even bother?
The bike only has about 4K miles on it........am I going to se a noticeable increase in performance?

I would agree. An extra 50cc's of displacement won't make that big of a difference, especially on a fresh engine, without other modifications. Now if you were going to couple the increased bore with a port & polish and some cams...

OOohh... interesting...
more information please... I didn't know that there was a "big bore" kit for the 500/550. My bike is a total project machine... not sure of the mileage. Knowing more about this sort of option might be helpful down the road.

Well, I have contacted Mr. Reick about a port and polish job.
While I'm at it may as well stick a cam in. But, I have NO idea what cam to buy, or where to buy it.
Any suggestions?

Megacycle and Webcam's both used to offer cams for the 550, websites here
http://www.webcamshafts.com/
http://www.megacyclecams.com/
Now which cam to get is a different story. Mike is an awesome resource, and I'm sure either of those companies would be able to help some too.
