Were the speedos in mph?  If so, HOLY SH!T!!!  He could barely keep the front end on the ground though.  Makes for a great straight line but forget trying to turn.

Judging by the plates on the other cars, it appeared to be in Europe somewhere, so I'd say it was KPH, not MPH... still... 290 KPH (roughly 180 MPH) is way fast enough.

I HATE the way they were bobbing in and out of traffic like that, though. That's what gives Motorcyclists a bad name.

I just bought the new issue of Motorcyclist magazine and there is a 'Busa in there that makes 640hp  WHY!?!?!?!

I'm 59 years of age and bought my first motorcycle about 10 years ago.  It was a 1980 KZ-1000.  I restored the bike to her original pristine appearance.
My second bike was a 1976 Honda CB-400f.... I restored her as well.  I'm now working on a 1976 Honda CB-750f... and am still laying out the restoration plan.

I purchased the Kawasaki KZ-1000 from my neighbor.... Buzz.  Buzz was very interested in the restoration of the bike.... and at one time, informed me..  "This bike can do 120 MPH"
I gave 'Buzz' an appreciative look and told him.... "Not with me on it".

Like most of you guys, I like to roll on the power every once in a while, but I also enjoy
living.  I feel the Ghost Rider is riding on the edge and eventually, his folly will catch up with him.
In the mean time, I'm very impressed with his riding prowess.

By the way, purchase price for the KZ-1000 was $500 US in 1998.  But she needed about
$1800 in restoration stuff which included a fuel tank, side covers, front fender (has anyone ever purchased a bike without a dent in the front fender?) rear plastic fender and a few other odds and end's.

I really don't like splitting lanes, nor being noticed when I decide to hit it a bit, hence the black bike. I think you actually like to ride faster in traffic than I do, probably from having to deal with all the bozos on Longwood Ave.!

Hope you guys had a good time last eve, I would have loved to have made it.

I'm going out for a ride this afternoon, why don't you cut out early and we'll run one more time before the snow flys Sunday eve?

Last night was VERY good and Mike R. also showed up and he was on top form! It was good to catch up. Next time will be in a few weeks when the SOHC member comes to Boston.....if he is still coming! We are all ready 

Would love to skip work this afternoon but I have image slices through cells to gather....and eggs to inject with RNA....fun, fun....have a good ride! I had a good one coming in this morning...a fresh 34F

I might have met him...I met a guy riding a BMW when I was getting ready to ride home....was this him? More details! Yeah snow forecast for Monday means no riding for me   .....oh well its been good so far.....soon be time to pull the engine again for Mikes magic hands to work on

It's sort of timely that the subject of Ghostrider and Evel Knievel's passing have cooincided as it appears to me that both Kinevel and Ghostrider are both about bucking the system. I aspire to the idea of jumping over stuff and riding through traffic at 2-3x in high def imagination, but not in full technicolor reality. Maybe I'm past it, but I just don't get overly excited by watching this, it kind of puts me to sleep. Maybe it's just shock...
