Piston Parade

Took a picture of a bunch of the 836 kits i had around the shop today.



So from left to right.....

836 Arias 10.5:1, stock F2/F3, Action Fours F2/F3 kit, Arias 12:1 836 kit

Well you can't hold a parade without a contingent from the Royal Australian (piston) Regiment?

In the first pic is my newly rebuilt engine with the 836cc 12:1 Arias pistons that Hondaman sent me, just before I crowned it with Mike Rieck's beautiful stage 3 head and Megacycle 125/75 cam.

Below that is a 3rd oversize OEM CB750, CL77 (61mm) high compression, Action Fours 65mm high compression, MTC (?) 64mm 811cc forged, Wiseco 65mm 836cc 10.25:1, MTC 73mm 1060cc, and the last, a "ring in" is a Wiseco 1170cc 15:1 piston for my Suzuki GS1000S. Isn't EBay a wonderful thing? Ha ha, Cheers, Terry. ;D

 That's a beautiful thing Terry. My opinion....switch to grade 8 bead. You're a big boy.....I know you can handle the feedback. ;) ;D

Anyone know what these pistons are?  They're smaller than 836 (~823) and the only markings are "K" stamped into each dome (probably signifying they're for a K motor).  They look about 10.5:1 CR and they dont have dished-in sides.  Oh, yeah, they use these weird flat circlips that coil into place...

KB02,
Gas porting, you drill holes into the dome of the piston to intersect with the rear of the top ring groove, it uses the compression to fush the top ring outwards.

As far as I know it works short term as it tends to carbon up, should work great on engines torn down frequently..
