My trip to an undisclosed location (moto's - image heavy)
« on: December 03, 2007, 08:46:25 AM »

Most of the bikes here weren't all that interesting, but I couldn't help take some shots.  Excepting the police, virtually all bikes were under 350 and most were under 125.

Many of these newer Suzuki's

The decal on this next one says "Red Style"  many of these 'Red Style's' around.  Also many identical bikes painted black with a decal which says 'Black Style'.  I guess Cuban modders ride 'Red' and rockers ride 'black'

The cops get a much cooler machine:

Many of these Soviet era BMW copies:

Good bike pics.  I've never seen some of those.  First I heard of a Virago as a police bike.

Are you home yet?  The riding has gotten a little chilly around here.

I am home, the riding is chilly.  I started taking things apart last night in preparation for post holiday winter projects.

This winter:

Pull head and replace leaking gaskets etc.
Clean and polish all kinds of bits that can't easily be reached with engine in frame.
Replace cam chain?
Paint tank?
Insulate shop?
Be awesome.

Pretty common of developing countries: low-displacement bikes for easy, cheap-to-run personal transportation. Obviously, lots of two-strokers from communist countries -Jawa, MZ-. I heard that Fidel was going to place an order on public buses to a Chinese manufacturer. I thought he cared about the wellbeing of the cubans.....  ;D
