Topic: cb 750 rebuild

Going to do a complete tear down on a 78 750 supersport was woundering what gasket kits to get and about how much to get the sleeves punched. Thanks all,what happened to the old board is it gone???

...get the full gasket kit and replace all if u'r doing a rebuild...not sure about "punching the sleeves", do you mean boring the cylinders?  What shape is the bike in now?  What is the compression.  If the compression is still good I would just replace the rings and maybe give the head/valves a good cleaning.  Just my 2 cents...

Well I think i botched this one up what I meant was should I go with after market gasket sets or order from Honda.

yea I was going to rebore the sleeves engine is getting tired I have blow by, oil gets black real quick.

...most go with aftermarket...u can get the whole topend kit for around $70...not even sure honda still makes all the gaskets, and if they did, u'd be nickle/dimed to death for each one.  Check out http://www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/Index_Main_Frame.htm & http://www.partsnmore.com/ .  If u'r one u'r head to rebore then go for it.  I'm just saying if u'r compression is low theres a good chance new rings will solve u'r problem.  The right way to do it is pull the cylinders off and actully get measurements on the cylinders to see if they are within tolerance...
