BMW has put a tremendous amount of work in their shaft systems. They have the only shaft driven bikes that I have ever ridden that dont take the wieght off of the rear tire at power.
...Twist the throttle and the rear of the bike goes up...taking the wiehgt off of the rear tire and putting it on the front tire. reducing traction on the rear and yeah...things can get wierd real fast if your not used to it or think that application is for something it is not.
Great for cattle touring bikes...agreed.
if you are interested in doing it and have the...proper brain functions...you should do a good study of the new BMW bikes.
