  • CB650 no longer, but do have an 87 GL1200
Hello from the Blue Ridge Mtns. of Virginia

I live about 12 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and currently have a 1981 CB650 with 12000 miles on it. Previous owner let the bike sit in her garage for 6-8 years, so there are issues to deal with, but hope to get it back up and running as soon as my carbs get back from being overhauled in Texas.

Welcome OG. One of the nicest trips I ever took on my bike was from Michigan down through the Blue Ridge Mtns and back. Great memories.

Gas was really nasty and jelled in float bowls. Tried to clean them up, but no luck. So, carb assembly was shipped off to Texas for complete overhaul ($$ ::)) Bike sure looks new however. Love the wire wheels.

Welcome.  I'm on the other side of the mountain from you, just east of Charlottesville.  We routinely head for the parkway and cruise.  Good stuff.
