Look at what I found...
« on: December 10, 2007, 06:23:20 PM »
It just came to my attention that this bike is for sale.  It is located about 8 miles from my house.  I am going to look at it on Thursday.  It is a race ready 1972 CB350.  If it can be made street legal, it may have a new home.

Hell Sparty, doesn't look like there's much for Mike to do!  ;D

Street legal, huh?! I'd like to think you could find a way to mount the 836's plate on there  ;) Instant street legal.

You haven't gotten it yet?!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

The front fender looks a little out of proportion(big for the rest of the bike), but that would be one hell of a street bike. As light as it looks I'll bet you could just flick that thru the twisties all day. I like that alot. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well, more bad luck for me.  I opened up my email this morning and found this:

Hi Art:
Just a short note to let you know the Honda 350 was sold today. I don't have the cash in hand but a promise of the purchase. I guess I'm a trusting person when it comes to a persons word even when it's a phone call from Toronto. I'm not sure which bike you were interested in or if you just wanted to stop by and check out the bikes, I'm looking forward to your visit Thursday evening.
Regards,
Wally

My Condolences Sparty. :(  That was one fine looking bike alright! Sorta reminded me of something Greg (ohiocaferacer) might have built. Too bad about that deal.

                             Later on, Bill :) ;)

Bummer, 'tis a damn fine looking bike.  I sure wanted it (not that it's in the cards at all).

I think this bike came up in a thread earlier and the owner said that he'd stripped out all wiring but ignition.  Getting back to road-worthy might have been a chore, if that's any consolation.

at least he was honest enough to tell you up front. better that then you getting there and him telling you its sold to your face after you had traveled to see it. Keep an eye out man..theres something waiting out there for you to find it.

I am actually still going to look at the bike.  Wally and I have been talking everyday.  He is a really good guy and loves bikes.  He only lives 8 miles from me, so the trip is short.

Here is his latest email to me:
Hi Art:
It will be my pleasure to meet you and discuss our pleasant sickness! The "bike" garage is heated so we can listen to jazz and check out the bikes. Your CB 750 is truly beautiful, I bought a CR 750 when we moved here twenty years ago from San Francisco. Kept for two years and sold it like a fool. In 63 I sold a 1947 Vincent Black Shadow for $400, what a fool I was! According to Accuweather an ice storm is headed our way...drop by if you can, we'll be home, if not, please re-schedule or call and come by any time!
Cheers,
Wally

Wally is 69 years old and has a nice collection of bikes, his daily ride is a Ducati 916.

I live outside of Toronto...find out who scooped you and I will pay him a visit! Preferably before he buys the bike and he won't be making the trip down south! Better yet, find out what he is driving and tip off the border patrol guys (mention something about a bomb or guns!)...they get bored and are looking for something to do I am sure! Heck with the weather being cold and the border guy being stuck in a cold hut all day I am sure the body cavity search would e a "chilling" reminder not to try to scoop you again...
