Speedometer cable question

The gauge end looks right, but the speedo drive end doesnt - the flat pin looking drive looks exactly the same as whats in the speedo drive  ???

I Agree. That cable looks the exact opposite of my CB550 speedo cable.
Which reminds me…..I don’t need it anymore. Do you?

I could, but where would that get me?  The 'square' end fits into the speedometer.

Thats what I thought too, at first.  Strange - I wish I remember where I got the cable from.
