Dipping the Stay Plate
« on: December 17, 2007, 07:38:07 AM »
I was wondering if dipping the whole stay plate assembly in Simple green would hurt anything in the assembly?

don't know what you mean by "stay plate", but i don't think simple green would hurt much of anything on your bike.

The only part you would not want to leave in Simple Green for any extended period. If you are talking about the plate the carbs bolt to, there should be no issue at all.

Yes, the stay plate is the plate that holds the carbs. The rod has little seals where it goes though thte stay plate assy. These are what I was wondering about.

At one time it could have been but that was a few years ago Johnie. You can find more of the same on the Babe Thread in the open forum.
