Do your research, people!!!

I never cease to be amazed at the feeding frenzy that can take place over items for sale on eBay. This exhaust/muffler is a perfect example:

You can get a brand new system from Thumperstuff for $245, or $308 in stainless!!

For big ticket (well, big ticket to my thinking) items I always shop around before paying the price. Been caught enough times already!!

Yep.  I have a 50 year old carb made of unobtanium  (well- $700 each).  One banjo plug is 15x1.  I could get a tap to clean the body, but it was looking like I might have to have a die made for about $135.  Finally, I called the manufacturer and I'm waiting for the plug to come; $15 new.
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

Amen! I work in wholesale bike parts and am amazed at people that go straihgt to Ebay without even checking if stuff is available! I see things like points listed and I can still get those. Check first and save some money.
