Rebuilding Red Wing shocks...possible?
« on: December 20, 2007, 04:08:06 PM »
The CB750 basket case I just bought has a pair of Red Wing adjustable rear shocks. They look very clean, but I am assuming they may be worn out.

Is it possible to rebuild quality shocks like these? Is it worth thr trouble and expense?

Thanks!

if shock body has a screw on cap (usally with two little holes where a double prongued spanner fits), no visible leaks and the damping liquid is just tired, then definetely worth it, you'll need to build yourself a spring compressor though.
