U2
« on: December 14, 2007, 01:53:22 PM »
Bono, lead singer of the rock band U2, is famous throughout the entertainment industry for being more than just a little self-righteous. At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, he asked the audience for total quiet. Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone, "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies." A voice with a broad Scottish accent from the front of the crowd pierced the quiet... "Well, foockin stop doin it then, ya evil bastard!"

You would like the recent south park episode that has bono in it. It basically calls him a giant turd.

The snopes write up on this is interesting concerning what U2 did with their music publishing company.

Shhhh, don't tell anyone Jeff, I think you're amongst rednecks...................  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Aw man, that'd be soo cool, I could buy a farm in ND and build a trailer park, then call it my "kingdom", and I could select "fair maidens" from my kingdom to attend to my beck and call! (whatever that means.........)

And if that didn't work I could just start up my own religion, make myself a "prophet" and have all my female disciples attend my beck and call! Schweeeeeet! ;D

I've got a feeling that you won't be getting much in the way of sunburn for a few months mate, isn't ND almost in Canada? You've probably got more chance of getting run over by a Moose!  ;D

It was funny cause we all know that the K8 CANT outrun a moose cause it is too busy trying to pull them heaps commonly called K1s to the repair shop for their weekly rebuild! Bad thing is the shop is always full of harleys! ;D

ah yes...the Kwars have begun again...allow me a shot of my own...if ever chased by a bear the K1 rider would be so far out in front the K8 rider would have no choice but to become lunch simply because the bike is too slow to get away from its own shadow let alone a pissed off grizzly...

That reminds me of a joke.

Two guys, an Aussie and a Frenchman are driving through the Kalahari National Lion Park, when their shiitbox Landrover breaks down. They look around and seeing no lions, they decide to walk back to the nearest exit.

Before he gets out of the stricken vehicle, the Aussie takes off his boots, and puts on a pair of Nike Air Pegasus running shoes. The Frenchman scoffs, "Mon Dieu, you silly Aussie, do you think you can outrun a lion?", to which the Aussie replies, "No mate, I only have to outrun you."  ;D

True, I wonder if Eldy is French? Because ND is so close to Canada, he might be? ;D
