Can you use a cable lever in place of a master cyliner?

Hey I have found some sweet levers but they use a cable and my front brake on my bike is hydraulic.  Is there any way I can use the cabled ones on my bike?

Yeah just put the master under the tank.. Beemer did for years.. 70,s..80,s RS, RTs .. etc..


 or use a custom master.. nice balanced look to 2 cable levers.

and what...link the cabled lever to the master cyl with a cable?
