Cb 750 vs 550 rear drum brake abilities
« on: December 14, 2007, 01:37:14 PM »
Is there a significant power difference between the braking abilities of a 750 rear drum and a 550.  I am building up a rear wheel, and have a 550 hub, but would really like to go to a 750 because in all honesty I like the looks better.  If if has inproved and greater breaking characteristics, it will give me a good reason to swap.  Any info? Thanks

750 shoes have marginaly more friction area and whilst the 500/550 liners crack i never seen a 750 crack
