I have a question... when I kickstart my 1978 CB550K, it makes a grinding noise so long as the kickstarter is in the fully extended position with my foot on it. If I let it go and it retracts back to the top the noise stops. But it's somewhat embarassing to kick start it and have it grind for a second or so before I get my foot off the kickstarter.
