New carbs for my Norton
« on: December 17, 2007, 01:18:52 PM »
I've been so busy building my 750k that I've been putting off working on my '74 Commando 850 but what a difference a new set of carbs make.  I now have a working choke and a bike that idles and runs smoothly.  These Amals are simple but when the slides start to go, forget it.

Sweep,

I ran a whole series of used Amal Monoblocks on my '67 TR6.
The old monoblock with the bowl extension looked so cool--but ran
like crap.
Like you,I finally broke down and got a new concentric.
Running fine since.
