While I think it's great that someone will do something like that to bring smiles to the faces of others, it appalls me that there are that many parents willing to let their kids take candy from a stranger!  What is one of the first things we teach our kids?  Don't take candy from strangers!  Let them say hi (with you by their side), take a picture, point & wave....whatever, but don't take the mans candy.  Apparently if I was some sicko terroristic fuc|<, I could dress up like the Easter Bunny and ride around town on my bike delivering poisoned cadbury eggs without even so much as a question from the cops whilst I kill hundreds of innocent people.

Ok, maybe I'm going a little overboard but I know I wasn't the only parent thinking this while watching.
