CB400f - brake caliper seal replacement
« on: July 27, 2005, 11:54:27 AM »
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement seal for the front caliper on a 1975 Honda CB400f?

If not does anyone know the dimensions of the seal?

Have you tried you local Honda dealer? I bought a seal for my 35 year-old 750 there fairly recently.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Or Service Honda, just bought one from them for about $6.00.  On the downside shipping is at least $8.00 so
order enough stuff to justify the shipping charge.

Honda should still have them. Several of the "big book" aftermarket catalog companies have them too. A dealer should be able to order one for you - the parts desk for Honda or the accessories desk for an aftermarket replacement. This is usually cheaper than online orders because the shipping kills you there.
