Put your location ,in your profile
« on: January 07, 2008, 03:34:31 PM »
Hi guys .....I was looking under parts wanted/for sale, and just thought that it would be a good idea if every-one would put their location,City, Town, village,no need for street adress,or whatever,in their profile,I live in southern Ontario ,so to buy or sell something in say,Iowa,or New Zealand, could get pretty expensive.I just thought it might make things a little easier if you know where things are ....

Loud pipes suck.......

If you buy something.........pay for it !
If you sell something .......ship it !
If you say you are going to do something......do it !
If you have a question about something......ask it !
When the seller answers ........let him know whether you still want it or not !
If you receive something .....let the seller know you got it !
If you get something and are happy/un happy with it .....let the giver/seller know !
If you have any kind of issue,shipping/receiving/quality/price/shipping charges etc !

At a bare minimum, state (if U.S.) or country would be helpful. We approve many new members without so much as a hint as to where they are located. :-\

The location should show up on left side of the pane with the members name.  That's how other forums do it.

Can this be done on this forum?

Since this a worldwide community, it is interesting to see where people are located.  It also helps to see where they're coming from, as in point of view.

We have enabled custom titles but I can't find any way of automatically displaying location.

No matter where displayed, it will only show-up if folks provide the info when they register (or go back after the fact) and provide it. ;)

True, but if it showed "Location:" and blank it would be constant reminder to them to enter the info.

Like it is on any vBulletin board (like this one for example)

Would this apply to "Terry in Australia" too?

P.S. I always had mine in there but this thread was a good reminder for me to change towns since I moved this past summer.

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
