1974 CB 750 Cruise Control ?
« on: December 23, 2007, 06:32:46 PM »
Anyone ever heard of cruise control on a CB750, either as a factory option when new or aftermarket back in the 70's?

Thanks-

Mine had one when I got it.
Little widget I can lock the throttle with my thumb.

Did it have a thumbscrew type spring loaded affair to the left of the throttle grip? I think my 74 has it, just bought it in the fall and haven't driven it yet... How can I tell or should I post a pic?

Thanks-

You can get them after-market.
I just bring a roll of duct tape.

Hey Otto,

I have one of these on my 750F.  There is a thumb activated lever which locks the throttle in its current position.

I don't use it that often, but it's great for warming up the bike and for when I've been riding for an hour and need to shake my hand out...

Or if you don't know how to operate a roll of duct tape and you've got a mountain of cash, try this:

Me, I'm off to buy another roll! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
