Well, I am pissed.   My computer that had all of the stuff for the coffee table book saved on it got a virus.  I had it ghosted and all is good.  The Blub program I had the book saved on was saved to my server, however, Blub didn't tell me that you will lose everything if you attempt to move the file or save it in another location.  So now everything is GONE!  I even saved it to my portable hard drive, but it didn't work there either.
I will restart the project but not anytime soon.  Maybe in the colder months.  I am spitting nails this morning because of this.  I yelled at my IT guy like it was his fault and now I feel bad.

Sorry to hear that Sparty.  May want an online host for some of those files.  My girlfriend is a graphic designer and she may be able to help, but she uses Photoshop and Quark Xpress.  She can probably get the layout together and then send you the files to print.  Lemme know if you want to work with her.  I'll give you her contact info in private message.

Well, lemme know if I can help.  If you've ever heard of the Mopar Collectors Guide, you've seen Carla's work.  She is the art director at Mopar Collectors Guide and designs the entire magazine every month.  I'm certain she can help you with the coffee table book.

Man sorry sparty. But the book will be the same as a classic sohc project. You think your about done when... well you have to start over. Too bad the hours spent so far are gone but Im relieved, probably like a lot others, to get sum real pix and stories together. Now if only you would kindly pass that virus along to the IRS and my mortgage companies all will be fine..... 8)

I would be interesting in taking some pics and writing up a story.  I know that looneymoon also has a nice olive 350f, but my story is a funny one of a bike that was restored, sold to an owner who let it sit in his garage for 4 years, and then brought back to life again, by a complete mechanical dweeb and a new rider at that.  Even if you don't want my story, I'd love to have a copy.

Send me your story and pics.  You can be in the book no problem.

Sorry for all the trouble you are going through! I'd be very interested in buying a copy as well. If my project is done within the next week i'd love to try and squeeze in a spot in the book too. Let me know if that's even remotely possible...although the possibility of me actually getting the bike done is fairly slim lol.

Yeah you can, but the book is on hold.  With the new job I have no time right now.  It is looking like a winter writing.

What's your new job Art? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

This is a splendid idea. I have been looking for something of the sort for a while, but with no luck. I'll buy two!

I'll be more than happy to donate pics and info, along with the whole story concerning my bike to the book..

At any rate I'll definitely love to have one!!

It is an atavistic mentality, a peculiar mix of low style, high speed, pure dumbness, and overweening commitment to the Cafe Life and all its dangerous pleasures. I thought it was freaking awesome.  My gf is a graphic designer, and she had the ability all along, but I never would have thought that she would have had an entire book made of my 550....  I have photo albums on the web of the bike, so it couldn't have been hard for her to get the pics, then she had the writer/editor at her magazine write a story about how I resurrected my 550.  I actually teared up when I got the book.
