Just signed up and wanted to say "Hi" from Toronto Canada.
I have been working on a 72 CCB750K2 restored to stock and a 78 CB750K8 cafe project.
There will likely be some questions to ask and it looks like this is the place for answers!

Welcome and nice bikes! I particulary like the restored `72. Any more info on what it took to restore it? Before and after shots?

cheers

I didn't take any before shots...:(
The bike had been  oiled and covered and kept dry and put into storage for about 18 years.
The seller wanted it to go to someone who would not "chop" it and would restore it.
There was some elbow grease required to buff up the chrome but overall, the chrome was pretty good!
The seat had to be replaced and I found NOS original.
Pipes were harder to find and finally bought a set from the US that were in good shape but one is not the same number as the other 3.
Still, you have to look close to tell. I might consider replacing them with the aftermarket clones but...I'm not sure.
Someone had replaced the rear wheel with the type that "chopper" people like so it had to be replaced as well.
Tank and side covers are original paint and in pretty good shape.
Any parts I have had to replace were with '72 stock pieces.
The idea of this project was to keep the bike as original as possible so all wiring, ignition, paint and such are stock.
Just have a broken left side cover and it's tough to find a replacement.
Overall, this was not one of those "ground up" restorations but rather a "fell upon it" good luck find that was in good shape to start with.
It's certified and on the road and a pleasure to ride.
The Cafe is another story...:)

Well, Steve, I may be a newbie to the forum but these grey hairs of mine say I am otherwise...:)
I have been wrenching for some time now, on cars mostly, and doing some amateur time trial racing.
Too expensive!
Kept regular maintenance on my wifes Virago and my ST1100.
Had a couple of other bikes over the years but never really got down to taking them apart.
A while back, I bought a 72 BMW R50 and did a basic clean up and paint as a special consideration to the seller.
Unfortunately, he was unable to see the final results.
Pics below.
So I started casually looking for a bike I had always wanted.
The venerable CB750.
AT the time they came out, I was riding the KawasakiMach1 500 triple.
While no one could out run me, I still liked the CB better.
So , quite a few years later (quite a few!)I stumbled upon the '72K2 and cleaned it up and brought it back to stock.
Of course, that wasn't enough and the 78 came available at a great price so now there is the All Night Cafe project.
