Rev counters are like rocking horse sh1t Kev, the cables can be got off Ebay and you can use a speedo I've been told, you just need to know what speed = what revs. I could let you know if I go digging in the work shop.

OK... Now that CA 95's have been mentioned, I can join the thread.. ;)

Here's everything:

And Singly: (not including the CB750 daily rider per the thread rules ;) :)):
The 1966 CA95 (Ignore the SL70 in the background. I was fixing it for a friend- not mine)

The 1974(5) CB360T (Wife's first bike)

And my wife's main ride, the 1978 CB550K (The crash bars have since been removed and the seat recovered)

Yeah, I just haven't gotten a more recent pic. That was the pic I took after having it all apart and going through it putting everything back in working order.

Maybe I can celebrate finishing cleaning the garage by snapping a new photo (I'll finally have room to do so!)

1978 750Automatic (Hence the name Otto), (I name my bikes). Since the pic it has been striped in gold.. This has been completely gone thru and has 9400 miles on it. Unfortunately , I have no pix of it asince completed and it's -15 degrees here now  :o :-\, so recent pi will have to wait. I was 39 degrees last Saturday , I took it for a ride , about 5 miles. It was great and really charged my batteries, so to speak.

Here's what I bought a week before Christmas:

1998 Honda Shadow 1100 Aero: Pearl Green/ Pearl White
(Bike's name: Pearl)

Sorry no pix of the other 2 bikes, but they are:

1974 CB750K, 10,000 miles, really clean, all original except exhaust. Moss Brown. (Named: Special)

1976 CB750K   ~20,000 miles, rough, (Named: Science Project).

outlaw.  That is a complete custom job of a bike you are looking at.  I took it completely down to the frame and modded excessively.  Dirt track seat/fender is by First Klass Glass offered by STORZperformance (fortunately there seatmaker lives about a half-hour from me and is very very nice.)  The bike is fun to ride but gets a tad tiring on the hind end after a while.  It's my fault though as I made the seat myself.  only one layer of hi-dens foam.

This is the Z1 I bought on eBay USA about two months ago. I shipped it out to New Zealand
and it arrived in the first week of 2008.

It's one of those bikes that look great until you get to within about 6 feet from it. I'll say no more except
that I have to consider whether I want to keep this bike and restore it or sell it and start again with a fresher
donor bike.

The red CB750 is my '69 diecast, and the little blue CB175 is my sons' bike.

Still in the crate and not looking too bad...

Starting to look closely at this motorcycle....

I've just diitched the King and Queen seat and fitted the correct mirrors

Ain't they purdy..!!

Toycollecter,

Its only original once, if you start playing with it its going to cost.. and then it will just be another restored one (of which there is probably way more of!!)

Consider this.. if it were a 47 Knuclehead..or a 49 Vincent in that shape would you like it more??.. cuz its going to be that old one day.. and you wont have to do almost anything to it to keep it that way..

I wouldn't own the harley and if it was a 49 Vincent I'd be happy that I had it. It's not like there are that many vincent's out there for sale anyhow.

754, I need to swap out some of the pipes, lots and lots of minor and other major stuff has to
be done before I will be happy with this motorcycle. I want to put in fresh spokes so that
when I look at it I am reasonably happy. I haven't even been able to start the damn thing
yet as I've been so busy with other stuff. A friend came around last night with his heavy
duty ratchet set to un-stick the three bolts on the sump so that I can change the filter
and oil. How pathetic of me, I don't even have correct tools to start the job.

I don't really understand your last post to me. Are you saying that it's original only once and
I should leave it that way?  I understand the concept but I need to do something with this
bike because it isn't up to the standard I want. I may sell it and start again.
