750 F1 - Rear brake
« on: March 27, 2016, 05:25:43 AM »
Gotten around to dealing with the brakes on my '76 F and they are both going to have to be rebuilt.  The front is a pretty common item and there are lots of alternatives for kits and pieces.  The back, however, is turning out to be a problem.  I've located exactly one rebuild kit for over $100, and in general it seems like this component is on the verge of being orphaned by the aftermarket, so I'm wondering if there's anything like a bolt on substitute, like, say the rear brake from the F2-F3, or possibly the Goldwing of the same era?

I believe people use goldwing parts but I happen to have the proper rebuild kit of you are interested. I paid $90 for it and you can have it for that.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Are you talking about the master or the caliper? Kits are available for both.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
