Well, the event itself was rather uneventful, so I treated myself to these...

I've got some 1/8" stainless plate to cut and shape into the mounting plate for the slave like Maksutt did on his.  I want to find a visually similar brake master, but I'm not at the stage where I want to undertake a lot of brake work, and I would need to either get going with my fork swap, or do a dual disc conversion.  Easiest thing right now will be ignore the front brake projects and tackle the hydraulic clutch.
